Our experts
Marc Zaplin, Manager Machinery and Customer Service, studied electrical engineering (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) at the University of Applied Sciences Bochum. He joined TÜV Rheinland in 2011 and started as technical expert for testing electrical equipment for measurement and machines according to several national and international standards. Marc Zaplin expended his technical competence for electrical components and power transmission devices. His current focus is on project management and business development for machines.
Thomas Köster is Head of the Technical Competence Center Industrial Machinery at TÜV Rheinland. He studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. His career started in 1996 at the electrical engineering test laboratory of TÜV Rheinland Japan in Yokohama. Since 2020, he has been the global coordinator of the machinery segment at TÜV Rheinland. Thomas Köster is a member of German and European committees in the field of machinery safety.
