BIFMA Compliant® Program

The Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers' Association (BIFMA) develops BIFMA Compliant®, the commercial furniture industry’s registry of standards-conforming products.
Launched March 1, 2021, BIFMA Compliant is an industry-wide registry of furniture products that have been tested to be in conformance with the ANSI/BIFMA safety and durability standards. This program helps to provide clarity to the market by differentiating products that meet established industry standards versus those that don’t.
Upon successful completion of testing against the BIFMA standards, companies can add that product to the registry and affix the BIFMA Compliant mark to the finished product. While the program is voluntary, having your products BIFMA Compliant and listed on the registry not only differentiates your products in the market place, but also assures the product’s compliance and reliability, and gives confidence to your customers – whether they are B2B buyers or consumers.
